In HUNTED BY THE OTHERS, Shiarra Waynest learns the hard way what it means to bargain with supernaturals.  With her PI business failing, she has no choice but to accept a job working for a mage to locate an artifact in the hands of a vampire.

What she wasn't counting on was the depth of corruption in the mage coven, how the vampire is not what he seems, and having to deal with and solve the murder of supernaturals that come in contact with the artifact. 

As time passes, people become more accustomed to that which they once feared. 

Does that mean that these things which once frightened us are no longer worthy of this respect?  Hardly.

But sometimes, just sometimes, you have to put all of that aside.
